I like your site, I have just stumbled on to it while trying to find out what happened to nwboating.com

The forums are a great idea, the tide information a great idea, the reviews, classifieds, ect.

Something that might make this website even better is to find out who owned nwboating.com and if they are out of the website game, get their content and repost it here. It had excellent information on NW cruising destinations, with pictures, small charts, and so forth as well as information on things available at destinations. Every time you opened the main page a new "featured destination" with picture and link for more info would pop up. Adding all of that content to what you have here would make this a truly excellent one stop NWBOATING resource page.
Also, links to various boat brokers would be good as well, and you could probably get in contact the with various NW boat dealers and arrange to have reciprocal link postings, which would benefit them by getting their site more hits, and of course the same for this site. The more sites you can get linked here and the more sites you can have link to you the more traffic you will get, bringing in more users, which will of course increase the participation.

Well ... Early on ... a couple of years ago ... the folks at nwboating.COM offered to sell me their site.

But, since I don't really make any money off this site, I was not inclined to pay for their content.

Now that they have closed up, maybe the price would be a bit better. :) They did have some great photos and destination information.

We do have a section of the site for web links and have had many contributors.

Take a look at the Reviews section. We thought that would be a popular section of the site, but it has not reeived much interest. Gotta work on that ...

I am dangerously close to updating all the software on the site and changing the look a bit.

Thanks for the comments!

Rusty

I found your site the same way Rad Dad did. I was hoping to find a little more activity on the forums. Hope it picks up. Nice site.

The site was brought to my attention by a friend on one of the other boards or in a chat room.

I'll post those links in another thread.

I didn't realize that www.nwboating.com had gone down. Like others I had gone to that site to check out areas that I was planning to visit.

What I liked about nwboating.com was the destination sites. Not only did they give you a picture and map but they gave you chart info. Maybe this site can start that. I am the co-pilot and do all the charting for our trips and it really helps me to know where we are going and how to get there.
