Who was at Tall Ships last night.

Wow!! What A sight. As you came into outer Quartermaster harbor you could see the tall masts against the wooded land. It was like living history. Then there were a coulpe of boats playing the bag pipes. What an incredible night I wish we could have stayed longer. I would have liked to seen the ships at night.
Is anyone going out for the parade at 12 noon today?
I have to work today but hope to find a way to get my company van over by north tacoma around 1pm:D

We took our boat out on Thursday and if you look at the poster by the Tacoma News Tribune for Friday 7/1, you'll see our boat in the lower left hand corner. I work all 4 days at the Tall Ship Festival and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I worked Security on Exit Gate 4 and met some wonderful Russian cadets. I hope we can bring the ships back in 2008!

What's the plan for 2008?
It was great to see the Tribune really get behind this event. The only negative comment I have heard so far was that the facilities were over taxed (not enough rest rooms all coke machines out etc.)
This is sure a great thing for the city.
What made your days of volunteering so memorable?
