Hot Buttered Rum

Here's a good one for this time of year.

One pound of butter
One pound of brown sugar
One quart of vanilla ice cream

Melt together. Place one spoonfull in a cup; add a little hot water to melt and fill the rest of the cup with rum! Sit back and enjoy!

I finally gave it a try for Christmas eve. It gathers plenty of compliments.

Very good indeed. With Cruzans dark and freshly grated nutmeg on top:)

A double boiler works quite well and there is you first batch of hot water.
